Rob’s Psychometric Test

Robs Psychometric Test

For one of our sessions, we were asked by Rob to take a psychometric test designed to find out how each of us working within a group. The main reason for this exercise was to create groups that could perhaps work effectively and naturally with each other. Once the results were analysed, I was placed into a group with Jessica and Sky. According to the feedback we received from the test, Jess was assigned the leadership role from me and Sky for our group project for eDecks.

During the collaboration with the business school groups our group encountered a few issues within keeping communication going between each other. Once we had some requests from hem they were slightly left a little short noticed for us, even though Jess had asked multiple times to have it done by. Due to the last minute time we had to produce content for the business groups we couldn’t produce our work to the standards we had probably wanted too. Even though the collaboration was stressful we managed to supply work for one of the business groups, and give feedback on the work from the other. We learnt how to communicate correctly in a team even if a lot of the time was by messaging each other.

In the end, the experience was a realistic and a professional collaboration. It showed us to the uncreditable way of working in real with real people you have never met. Ultimately, we emerged from the project with improved communication skills, greater confidence and a better understanding of how to collaborate effectively with teams.
