As I mentioned earlier, we divided our group to focus on individual pieces of design elements. I took the role on focusing on improving eDecks social media platform. After I figured out which social media platform to focus on, I created some brief mock up designs for two social media posts and a banner design for the profile account.
In addition to our assignment, we also collaborated with the business school groups to develop marketing designs with their given brief. Although, communication was slightly hard going with one of our groups we were only able to give work to one of the two groups. Sky and Jess made a collaboration of posters whilst I made some social media posts.

In the post one design I made it so eDecks advertises an effective and clear message to promote its decking products. By ensuring the advert is in the theme of summer, it taps into a season closely associated with outdoor relaxation, warmth, and home enjoyment. The headline “WHEN SUMMER COMES,” sets a tone, whilst followed up with “YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU CHOSE eDecks,” encourages the viewers to think ahead before its too late.
For the second design the advertisement is warm and inviting, especially now you can see the natural colours from the image. It features a clean, modern wooden decking with comfortable furniture. This lighting choice enhances the feeling of a summer day and can help the audience imagine the comfort and style they could enjoy with an eDecks installation.

Out of the two Facebook posts I preferred the second design. I liked to still add the natural colours from the image along side with an orange box with a slight opacity change to it other than the whole image looking orange. So for this Facebook banner that is what I continued with, I kept the same headline and and text to promote constancy through the brand, keeping everything up to date. That can let the audience understand that eDecks could be seen ad being quiet professional if they keep up to date with their stock and brand.
