To create an engaging animation for my venue MOVA’s new phone release, I mentioned in the previous post that I’m taking inspiration from an Apple Store design. The goal is to replicate that clean, modern look to highlight the trusted environment. The animation will feature an open space with minimalist displays, much like an Apple Store already does. Products such as the MOVA phones will be presented on tables underneath the framed buttons.
Storyboard

Since this infographic webpage animation is only going to focus on one background I only had to create one scene for my storyboard. And had to decide on the size, placement and design of my buttons and pop-ups.
Design Process
So using Adobe Illustrator I created the canvas of my animation including MOVA’s logo centred in the middle, tables at each side of the room, two of which have the phone models attached by stands to present them. And since this animation has to include interactivity using buttons, my buttons are posters of the phone models (blue and pink). Clicking on each poster opens a pop up that displays it self at the top of the canvas.
By understanding the practical exercises I learnt during class I was able to create fluent button functionality whilst also still animating other elements. That being the gradient outline on around the logo, I made it rotate throughout the presentation.
